The Top 10 FPS games from 2000-2010

The top 10 FPS (First-Person Shooter) games released between 2000 and 2010, in no particular order:

  1. Half-Life 2 (2004) - Developed by Valve Corporation, this game continued the story of Gordon Freeman as he battles against the alien Combine forces.

  2. Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare (2007) - This installment in the Call of Duty series shifted to a modern setting, featuring intense single-player and multiplayer action. One of my personal favourites, as is the next game in the list.

  3. Halo: Combat Evolved (2001) - Created by Bungie, this game introduced the iconic Master Chief and brought console FPS gaming to the forefront. The campaign was amazing.

  4. Counter-Strike: Source (2004) - An updated version of the classic Counter-Strike, it maintained the intense multiplayer gameplay that the series is known for.

  5. Bioshock (2007) - Set in an underwater city, this game combined FPS elements with a unique story-driven experience and memorable environments.

  6. Doom 3 (2004) - A reboot of the classic Doom franchise, it brought modern graphics and a more horror-oriented atmosphere to the series.

  7. Far Cry (2004) - Developed by Crytek, this game showcased impressive visuals and an open-world approach to FPS gameplay.

  8. Battlefield 2 (2005) - Known for its large-scale multiplayer battles and teamwork-oriented gameplay, this entry in the Battlefield series was a hit.

  9. Deus Ex (2000) - Combining RPG and FPS elements, this game offered players a rich story set in a cyberpunk world filled with choices.

  10. Quake III Arena (1999) and Quake Live (2010) - While the original Quake III Arena released in 1999, Quake Live in 2010 brought the fast-paced and competitive action of the series to modern browsers.
